Ryan Lochte’s Billboard Gift from Anderson

Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte joined today’s show and was given a giant surprise by Anderson… a billboard of the diamond-studded grill he recently lost. Will someone return it?

Season 2 Sneak Peek: Myescha

Tell us about your position.
I’m a Producer PA here at “Anderson Live,” and as a production assistant, I am a “Jane of all trades.” I give full support to our Associate Producer and Producer, I monitor the budgets, organize research, and coordinate travel arrangements, among many other duties.

What’s your favorite thing about working here?
Hands down, the staff! Individuality is definitely embraced here, and besides working with a very talented group, we also have a lot fun together!

What was your most memorable moment last season?
There are way too many to count, but the first thing that popped into my head was our show with Janet Jackson, when a superfan nearly passed out when we surprised him with the one and only Ms. Jackson!

What are you looking forward to most in Season 2?
I’d say… I’m looking forward to seeing the response from viewers about all the changes we’ve made to the show, I’m really excited, and I hope they are too!

What do you love about our new offices?
My cube… it’s bigger than what I used to have, and there’s much more shelf space. True to my Cancer sign, I like to have a cozy, comfortable, safe space, so my cube setup really allows for that!

Season 2 Sneak Peek: Nailah

Tell us about your position and your role here at “Anderson Live.”
As a Producer’s Production Assistant, I handle much of the planning and organization of the show logistics, research, travel, budget, as well as assist with booking guests and props for the shows.

What do you like the most about your job?
I love that fact that we cover such a wide range of topics — one day I’ll be booking travel for survivors who will meet the people who saved them for the first time in our studio, and the next, I could be planning and rehearsing a fifty-person Jane Fonda flash mob to surprise Anderson. It’s never a dull day!

What’s happening this summer in your department?
I’m working with my production team on segments with topical new stories that have a lot of take-away for our audience.

What are you most excited about for Season 2?
Going live! It will allow us to stay more current and topical with our segments. The adrenaline rush and sense of accomplishment from it is exciting.

Season 2 Sneak Peek: George

Today we are featuring a newcomer to the “Anderson Live” staff — our Co-Executive Producer, George, who recently returned to New York City from Los Angeles. We asked George to share his thoughts on Season 2…

Tell us about your background in television:
I began my career working in local news in Boston and Worcester, MA and for Inc. Magazine, before going back to graduate school.  I got a master’s degree in broadcast journalism and a law degree at Syracuse University and then went to work for Nancy Grace at Court TV.  After that I was bitten by the talk show bug and have spent the last dozen or so years working on all different types of news, entertainment, and human interest-based talk shows.  I’ve been lucky enough to work with incredible hosts like Martha Stewart, John Walsh, Jane Pauley, Montel Williams, and the cast of “The Doctors.”  Our new studio is at the CBS Broadcast Center and I’m excited to be back because it’s where I taped my very first talk show, “The Ananda Lewis Show.”

What are you looking forward to in Season 2?
Season 2 is a very exciting time for us because we’re re-launching the show in a number of ways. With our new studio, we’re going to be able to go live every day which will allow us to be even more topical and react to the latest stories everyone is talking about.  From newsmakers to celebrities to incredible everyday people, we’re covering it all.  We’re also going to have a co-host join us everyday, which is going to be a lot of fun!

What are some of your duties as co-executive producer?
My job is to work alongside Anderson and our executive producer, Terence Noonan, in developing everything you see on your screen every day. The three of us work together to set the direction and tone of the show- everything from the guests we feature to the creative elements we use to help tell our stories and connect with our audience.  Our job is to think big picture and collaborate with our talented supervising producers, producers, bookers, associate producers, editors, and our entire production team to bring the show’s vision from the page to the stage.  We’re a big team here and everyone goes above and beyond.

What have you been doing this summer?
I just moved back from Los Angeles, where I have been working for the last four years.   I’m excited to be back.  I drove cross-country and had a blast hitting 14 states in 8 days!

Is there anything you’d like to add about the new season?
I think both viewers who watch the show every day, and those who haven’t seen us in a while, will definitely want to tune in and see all the exciting new changes and fun surprises we have in store.  It’s going to be a great season!

“Anderson Live” begins Monday, Sept. 10.

Season 2 Sneak Peek: Arnold

“Anderson Live” team member Arnold is opening up about his position as Production Coordinator.

Tell us about your job…
“Basically, it’s a lot of ordering stuff for the office, from pens to desks to chairs to pictures, everything… making sure the office is ready to go.”

What do you enjoy most about your job?
“There’s two things that I like about working here; one is that people are alright with joking around, which is always comforting. It’s a serious job when it needs to be, but when it’s not, you can still have a laugh. Two, I like the pace of it, a lot of times you don’t get a lot of free time at work and the day flies by — I really enjoy the pace of it all. Everybody here is really chill and really nice.”

What is happening this summer in your department?
“We have moved locations, so we used to be more centralized in Manhattan, and now we’re more on the west side. My job is to make sure all that stuff gets here. I dealt with more of the office stuff, show files, TVs, computers, desks and couches, so when everybody comes back, we can start working.”

What do you love most about the show?
“I’m excited that we’re going live. I like its wide range of topics… it’s not the same thing every day.”

What are you looking forward to most in Season 2?
“I’m looking forward to the studio being a lot closer, which makes things easier for me.”

Is there anything you want viewers to know about the new season?
“I think it’s going to be fun, more topical, and I think Anderson is comfortable in a live setting, and I’m excited to see what that will bring.”

Season 2 Sneak Peek: Kelly

Audience Producer Kelly handles everything to do with audiences for “Anderson” show tapings. Catch up with Kelly and our Audience Department this summer!

Tell us about what it means to be an audience producer at “Anderson”…
As an audience producer, my job entails booking audiences for our daily shows and handling all the logistics as far as getting guests to the studio, seating them, and moving around when necessary, finding seats for backstage guests, etc. I also keep audiences updated on new shows coming up.

Are you the first person an “Anderson” guest meets when attending show taping?
Me or one of my team members. I work with three other people. We’re the first people they see when they arrive. Often there is a lot of communication with guests before show tapings, so it’s always nice to put a face to the emails.

What’s your favorite thing about working at “Anderson”?
I love the people I get to work with every day and meeting different audience members who come from all over the country and all over the world. Everyone is so exited when they get here and it’s nice to see that fans enjoy the content we’re putting out there.

What is going on this summer for the Audience Department?
This summer for the audience department we’re preparing for a new studio, a new process, new timing — we’re working on creating the best plan and process for Season 2.

When will tickets be available?
People can request tickets now at AndersonCooper.com/Tickets. Ticket reservations will probably go out in the first few weeks of August.

What’s your favorite thing about an “Anderson” audience” — what make it unique?
Our audiences are so diverse — all races, sexes, ages. A lot of daytime studio audiences are primarily women, and we have a nice mix, which makes it unique. Our audiences are the cutest, most fun, best dressed, best singers and dancers in daytime television… our audiences are the best, I think, on television!

What is the buzz after a show taping and audience members are leaving?
Everyone loves Anderson and loves that he’s so personable during the taping. He has a lot of interaction with audience — which shows people he’s so real. Everyone seems excited when leaving and excited to come back.
